Sharon - For the last 25 years or so, Little Mary and I have spoken once or twice a month. I will miss her so very much. She was extraordinary. When I was little, my mother set Mary as someone I should emulate: an educated, curious, adventuress: spelunker, bat tagger, scuba diver, hiker, dog lover, and excellent horse woman. As our family aged and we began to speak more often, she truly was all that and became so much more to me. We shared the family history we missed and that had passed on by family to us. We consoled over our lost people, our health scares, our dogs. We’d watch the dog shows, Dr. Jeff, and others - talking through the programs. Such a clear, sharp mind and I will be eternally grateful for her opinions, advice, and humor. She was a woman of pragmatic grace and I will always cherish her.
Best Moments
Once more, as information, photos and communication continues, I hope to fill this with the happiest, proudest and most profound events of Mary Foltz's wonderful life.
It is with a heavy heart and infinite sadness that I say goodbye to my best friend, my most stalwart supporter, and the person who gave me life, hope and did her best to craft me into a decent human being, My love for her will never fade, but all things must pass and we have to do the best that we can with what is left of us when part of us departs forever.
Please help to keep the memory of a woman who improved the standing of humanity in the great sweep of the universe.
